if you needed tyres fitted you would rather they were fitted at your home or your workplace . right ?
just an idea atm........but , im wrecking my brains about starting out on a small business for myself, something simple just to bring a wage in. low overheads , easy enough to operate and the way i see it there is good potential to make money. i allready have a friend lives 30 miles from me who will give me the number of 2 main tyre suppliers in the country, i can buy tyres off them for around £17-18 new and fit them for £40-£45 .
anyone know of this type of business ? pitfalls etc. THANKS
You say you will have tyres delivered on a daily basis, what happens if someone phones up for a tyre replacement due to a puncture and you do not have the size in stock. Do you tell them to wait till I get a delivery tomorrow ? If so they will just go somewhere else.
Prudie is right. Window cleaners are always required. Good ones at any rate. Be polite, efficient and reliable. I did it many years ago for a while.built up a round, and earned a crust for the six of us. Better than the dole.
Couple of years since you posted Diesel Dick
How did you get on with this? did you start up mobile or in a unit
Mobile fitting is a very lucrative business if you have the tyre fitting experience and can organise your stock system. Lots of people seemed to dismiss your idea and I wonder how many of them even have any experience in this market place
be good to hear how it turned out for you
