my daughter rents from a private landlord and gets housing benefit if i let one of my propertys to her would she still get housing benefit

she would still recieve housing benefits as you would still be classed as her landlord.
I would check with the Council who grant the HB.  They are obviously very cautious with relatives renting properties to family because who is to say you would take the rent from your daughter.

it is allowed. i do it but i have never been questioned. if your daughter is over 18 she is independant and you are not expected to fund her living arrangements.

the rent is usually paid direct to the landlord and its none of their business if a parent decides to return the rent money. parents give their kids money all the time.

Sorry Joko but surely gaining money from benefits and then giving that money to your child is fraud?  Isnt it making a mockery out of the benefits system?  Why not just let your child live in the property rent free from the off?

Just a thought.
