Anyone know something about lotteries,one thing I have not been able to do since moving abroad from UK
From what I understand most lotteries require you to be in the country where lottery is based.
Are there any lotteries where you can buy tickets on the Internet internationally, like for example Euro Millions?

The Euromillions is probably your best bet - twice a week and if you are lucky enough to win you get it all in one go rather than over so many years like some do.

You can buy lottery tickets for the Euromillions if you are in a country that participates. If you win you have to claim your prize in that country. But beware some countries tax the prize.

Legal restrictions mean that direct participants in any lottery need to live in a participating country.

So you need to be in Andorra, Austria, Belgium, France, Ireland, the Isle of Man, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland or the UK to participate in Euromillions (and you need to do so through your own country's lottery website).

Similarly, residents of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia can take part in Viking Lotto.

Those in Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden can play the Eurojackpot.

(Note that some of those countries participate in more than one international lottery).

However there's nothing to prevent bookmakers offering odds on the outcomes of national or international lotteries, so gamblers can 'enter' them through bookmakers. (They're not actually buying lottery tickets but placing a bet upon which numbers will be drawn). That's how it's possible to 'play' the Irish lottery in UK betting shops.

You can only pick up to 5 numbers for any of these lotteries in the bookies, but as from last year you cannot do the UK lotto. And each 'firm' have their own odds, though they will be similar. Betfred, for example, offer; 6/1 for 1 number, 60/1 for 2, 675/1 for 3, 8,000/1 for 4 and 150,000/1 for all 5.
