I have a recipe for a proper home made pakistani curry. This was given to me by a neighbour years ago. I cooked it and it is lovely. Since then i have played around with the recipe and made it my own. I.e added flavours and spices. This new one is so much tastier. Now, what if i want to sell this curry sauce in jars? how do i go about it? I have the food hygiene stuff sorted so thats not a problem. I need to know; where to buy jars cheap? Where to best sell them initially and what about date on them, how do i work out how long they will last?

Cheap jars - google catering suppliers. I've bought loads of stuff of the internet very cheaply.

Where to sell initially? You could try a FB page to start with.

That last question, I have no idea.

Whilst you have a lovely recipe there, have you thought about
a) what is your USP - there are loads of lovely jars of stuff to sell - what makes yours different?
b) One recipe is not going to sustain a huge business for very long - have you got stuff to add?
Didn't the WI have problems selling cakes at their fetes ? Dread to think what hoops you need to jump though in order to sell the sauce commercially. Have a word with Levi Roots ;-)
Why not try selling a few jars a local Fayres and boot sales and see how they go? Maybe give buyers your number to call you if they want more and build it up from there?

Or approach local farm shops, see if they will take some.

Don't know what the legalities are but if you have a hygiene cert I don't see why you can't. But I'm no expert.
