double glazing gaurantee

I had a conservatory built with safegaurd in august it came with a ten year gaurantee they went bust last week does anyone know how i stand about this i payed half cash and half of it with a loan.

If they were a FENSA registered company (which they should have been if it was August 2004), then it would be an insurance backed guarantee. Therefore the insurance company would be responsible.

If you got the loan yourself, then you have no protection under the Consumer credit act. If it were a loan that the double glazing company introduced you to, then the finance company may bear equal responsibility
