Spanish Pensions: One For Chris?

My sister has received a notification from the Spanish Pension Board (or whatever it is called) to say she is due a Spanish Pension, (she taught there for many years.)
But she is finding it difficult to actually access the money.
(If she has it paid into her Barclay's account in the UK, she will have to pay transfer fees.)
The solution would be to open an account in Spain with Bankia - they allow non-residents to have accounts. How difficult is this? What paperwork would she need to have translated (and how and where to have this done), to bring to the Spanish bank?
Any light that you can throw on this would be very helpful.
Thanks g.

Santander is a Spanish Bank that has a British subsidiary, possibly they would transfer the money free if you opened an account with a British branch of Santander?
Santander Operate there Spanish and British divisions as separate companies and would be no help ,as experience has proved ,however Banca March used to have a branch I think in east cheam this may help

No sorry, we tried that. They are no interested in the slightest.

Not interested.
It doesn't look that difficult and it appears they can verify you through another bank account

Sorry for the delay in responding; I've only just seen your post.

It looks like Islay has provided your answer but please let me know if you need further help.

Many thanks. I have forwarded it to my sister. Will let you know how it goes.

In case anyone is interested in the outcome, Spanish authorities suddenly paid the requisite amount into my sister's Barclays account without any problem. We are just waiting to see if it will continue after Brexit.
Thanks for everyone's help.
