I don't go out much, so not near cash points to get cash to pay my cleaning lady.

I pay Bill's etc using online banking. I want to find a way to pay her without cash. I broached the subject once but got the feeling she didn't want to use her bank. No idea if she declares her earnings, not my business..

I believe there are apps she could use to accept payments..can anyone enlighten me please, so I am able to talk with a little knowledge under my hat..many thanks

You could give her a cheque and she could use a phone app to photograph it to pay it in.

Or sign up for online banking and pay her directly into her account. It’s then up to her what she declares.
Paypal.

You can send money (small fee - about 50p) Recipient can then withdraw the money to their bank account or spend it.

Of course PayPal. Probably the easiest way.
no it is a cash business and is nothing new
they want cash
I am quite sure that it is declared on her own tax form and there is no need to er tax yourself on that account ( pun intended)
I agree with PP. She obviously wants cash with no traceable record of payment.
Can you get a supply of cash when/if you go shopping and use this to pay her
I would've thought your best bet is the next time you go shopping ask for a cashback.
Pay pal and Google pay
All these electronic payments end up in her bank account if she wants to withdraw them as cash. Simpler just to keep cash in the house to pay her, surely it is not such an inconvenience.
Do you have a trusted friend or relative who could help with getting you some cash once a month? It seems to me that any other option how ever high or low tech, is not going to be agreeable and as far as I know, there are no reliable cash delivery facilities for domestic use.
I like to have some cash in hand and do as Maydup suggests - I pay into my Daughter's bank online and she withdraws the amount in cash and brings it round at her convenience.

Thank you for all the replies.
I seldom get to shop, for various reasons.
90% of my spending is done online.
As PP says I think lots of the ladies prefer cash..
I'll settle and give her a cheque once a month, in advance. If she's not happy then there must he someone who would be.
If I could do it myself believe me I would.
