Can people read the small print in their Life Insurance policy to see if the company pay out in the event of death due to a vaccine side effect?
My company said 'no' because it is a clinical trail in testing phase.
Please, check!

it might apply if you're actually in a clinical trial, but not if you're just a member of the public having a vaccination. That's not a clinical trial.

The Covid vaccinations have been released under emergency use authorisation. They are 'experimental' until 2023 hence the clinical trial.
I'll ask my company again in writing but until then, I would suggest checking anyway.
What all that small print really means :- "We will try every trick in the book to avoid paying out"
ask them which clause in the policy allows them not to pay out

"fooda clause that says we dont pay out yeah!" is NOT the right answer
// They are 'experimental' until 2023 //

This argument has been raging on another forum and one participant there has a porcine influenced username.

I don't believe that the 40 million odd people who have had the vaccine will be deemed to be taking part in a "clinical trial." The vaccine has been cleared for use by the relevant authorities and whether that was under emergency legislation or not makes no difference to that. I believe any insurers seeking to avoid a payout on that basis would receive very short shrift both from the Ombudsman and any court which had been asked to adjudicate.

Thanks for clarifying NJ.
Like I said, I will ask for my companies response in writing.
Question Author
Thanks Wolfgang but that simply states they will pay out for Covid, not a side effect of the vaccination.
I have asked FCA and ABI for clarification and other life insurance firms, (most of whom do pay out for vaccine side effect).

This clearly states that the claims having the jag affects your life insurance cover are false.

That must include any side-effects.
IGGLEPIGGLE, how many folk have died from side-effects after taking the jag?
