British Post Office Postal Orders
I have been sent two (Post Office) postal orders (face value 4.50) They carry the 'Issuing Office Date Stamp' as being a Sunday the 25th December 2005. Of course I realise that there are no Post Offices open on a Sunday and certainly not on Christmas Day and this is an obvious mistake with the stamping machine.
Are these unique and are they worth more than their face value to the collecting fraternity.

I think it unlikely in any case that they would be worth more than their face value - any post office clerk could doctor eerm make a mistake with the date stamp on an order they sold to themselves so they would be quite easy to 'manufacture'.
I suspect your orders were issued last Wednesday and the machine had only been advanced one day from Christmas eve and not checked before use.
