Starmer And The Southpost Triple...

My mum just had cataract surgery and she needs eye drops numerous times a day (which I've been helping with since Friday). I'm a temp so I won't get paid anyway, but I want to look after her for one more day tomorrow. I don't want to let my boss know the ins and outs of my life, so how can I word I want to look after my mum for another day without the need to go into detail about staying off? It's really just a polite FYI email to let her know I won't be in? How can I briefly word it?
I think that you really should tell your Boss why you need to take the time off.
All he needs to know,is that your Mum has to have a medication that she can't administer herself.
I don't think saying the above is too much info on your personal life.
Just be brief, and to the point, and don't sound too needy or apolgetic(or too abrupt).
I hope this helps?
