Truth be told it doesn't really matter what others opinions are... although you've being given some great advice but seem to ignore it. Just try for the love of gawd have a little bit more confidence in yourself.
Abbey, I'm sorry you feel this way, but I wish you would understand that there is no way you can afford a car.
Have you ever added up how much it costs just to drive a car never mind buy one?
There is Road Tax, Car Insurance, Breakdown Cover, Petrol, repairs, and new tyres when needed.
Perhaps someone could be kind enough to work out how much it costs and you will realise it is out of your reach.
Abbey - do you know what you are asking for? I've tried to keep out of this, but you do need to keep your feet on the ground. I spend £20 - £30 on my daughters' birthday presents.
After a lifetime of working very hard in a very difficult job, I find it difficult to afford a car and keep it going - and it is essential for us. You can get around by bus, taxis etc..
Please, please go to see your doctor and really talk to your mum on Mother's Day. It's a good opportunity and you cannot carry on like this; you cannot and you know it inside, I'm sure.
Well done with applying for the Tesco's job. If you get it you will (in a few months) be able to pay your debts and start saving up for driving lessons. When you have those, save up for a car. That's how to do it. Good luck.
That's fine, but do everything the right way around this time. Do without until you have saved-up enough. Debt is horrible to get out of - as you are learning. I still say 'speak to your mum' about your current problems.
It won't happen the moment you get a job.
1) Job
2) Stick to it
3) Pay off debts
4) Save-up for the things you want.
5) Ties in with No.4. Do not, repeat not, waste your money on bottomless brunches, Disney etc., etc. If you do spend on them - then you can't save for a car. Work it out. Good luck.
