My Coworker Is Asking Me If I'll Cry On Her Last Day In The Office?

Well, my answer is no.  I won't because part of me is glad she's going!  Plus, I don't have strong connections in the workplace so no way would I cry.  The workplace is purely somewhere to get money with no emotion.  She said she would cry if I was leaving and if she was staying (reverse).  I wonder if she is fishing to see if I'm going to miss her?  I had to pretend with her that of course I'll shed a tear.

Take an onion in with you on her last day.

On retiring from my last job (I had friendly relations with all my work colleagues & worked there for 13 years) on my final day I just came home as usual - nothing at all was said. I didn't mind that.

You sound like me, davebro3.  I can't get close to my colleagues in that way.

My last day didn't happen, I caught Covid!!

Only miss 2 friends but see them occasionally

Why on earth would she ask you that? How odd. Is she very young?

Hi snowball.  She's 33 but going on 13!  I think she's attention seeking.  She said someone downstairs cried when she told her and I think she wonders why I haven't cried as we sit the nearest together in the office 🤷‍♀️.  She was almost expecting it of me.

Now I've got Tears Of A Clown in my head for the duration.

Take an onion in with you on her last day.

The onion one made me laugh 😆

As Lesley Gore nearly said- It's her party and you'll cry if you want to.
