If the interest is calculated daily it could be up to �1 less than the figure above.

You can work on the basis that the capital would earn about 37p per day for the first 6 months.

Why would it be different kempie?
Annually, 123bernadett should get 4.55% of �3000 which is �136.50.
For 6 months it's half of this (�68.25).
Interest calculated daily will not effect the amount unless it is also added daily, the more likely scenario is that it will be calculated daily and added monthly in which case the amount will be a staggeringly improved �68.90
It is different stevie21 because we are dealing with Compound Interest not Simple Interest.
