With British Gas and Power Gem, putting up the prices and no doubt the rest will follow, has anyone got a recommendation, We are at present with British Gas for both gas and electric

Hey Oneye, I tried this site and it calculated a �300 pa saving for me with EDF. So I went to the EDF Website and put in the same figures and guess what....they said I wouldn't save anything by changing suppliers.What was interesting was that Uswitch were prepared to switch my supplier on line....where is the commission cheque going I wonder?

British Gas get a slating because they are always the first to put their prices up. Every other supplier follows suit eventually so no, I dont think you'll gain by switching. We're with Scottish Power and they are announcing 15% increases; no doubt they're being crafty and will stair case the increase gradually up to 25% - this way they gain alot more customers running from British Gas.

EDF energy have a price cap scheme until 2008 so you could check this out, not sure of all the details tho.
