It is normal practice for creditors to pass debts to debt collection agencies, and to change from one agency to another. Unless you have had notification that the debt has been sold, the agencies are simply acting for the original creditor.
You must get your bank to tell you the account details of where the money has been going - including the name of the company concerned. They should be able to show you the original request to set up the standing order, which I believe has to be in writing. When you have this information go back to the original creditor with the evidence of your payments, or see the CAB and ask their help.
