The Perils Of Privatisation - Part X
News52 mins ago
Hi,
My husband and I were talking last night about how we both had Barclays supersavers accounts when we were young (as we wanted to feel grown up with a chequebook!).We don't remember ever closing these accounts. Is there a way of finding out if we left any money in them? Obviously we have no account numbers or anything.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Go Here and scroll down a bit, you will see a leaflet about dormant bank accounts. Fill it in as far as you can and then send it off, they will then try and trace any accounts for you.
Barclays will have written any balance off years ago but they send the funds to a central account to 'hold' in case anyone ever claims it.
