Banking in France
4 Answers
I recently had a dispute with the BNP in France. The local commune, where my holiday home is, demanded payment for a refuge disposal bill (without presenting me with the bill) from the BNP. The bank not only paid the bill without my authority but also charged me a fine for having to pay it. I have since written to the bank several times without receiving a reply - letters always in accurate French. Is it possible to change banks in France by opening an account with another bank and getting them to arrange transfer as in the UK? Anyone with any experience of French banking, please reply.

Presumably the people in the refuge have a need for the BNP to dispose of them. But how would the BNP ever have a refuge in France, I'm lost. How did the BNP ever become your landlord. We need more data.
