Classic Books Off The Gcse List But Only...
News1 min ago
I am self-emplyed, my credit is good, though not excellent and I need to secure an unsecured loan of several thousand pounds, to satisfy my Inland Revenue bill. I was unable to pay last time around, due to my having to spend the saved tax money on a family emergency, and borrowed from friends to pay the IR. Soon, I will be asked for another large amount, but I am paying back the loan from last time (vicious circle).
Is there a realistic way to get an unsecured loan? I've already encountered Advantage Loans and their ilk, and obviously I won't be following up there.
All sensible suggestions welcomed.
Thanks.

Have you tried contacting your bank? They will have all of your details on their system and you have a relationship with them. If you explain to them your predicament, then they may be more than happy to assist.
I have an idea to put to you in the future to stop this unfortunate matter happening again. I suggest that you open up a separate savings account. Whenever you get paid, you transfer the VAT from your proceeds across to this account. In doing this, you will know that whatever you have left to spend is yours. When the bills comes through from the IR, then you have the funds available to pay it in cash. You will also have some interest to spend too!
I would urge you to contact the IR sooner rather than later to inform them of the situation. They shold look upon the matter sympathetically and offer any support that they can.
Good luck with sorting this matter out!
