I've heard that non-married couples will get the same rights and benefits as married ones.

Will this not mean that friends are just going to move in together and exploit the system?? I for one might just do that seen as everyone else is taking the p***.

What rights and benefits?

Normally two single people get more benefits than one couple.

I don't understand the question, sorry..for a very long time now co-habiting couples have been treated the same as married ones with regards to a lot of financial situations

If you are living as a married couple you are treated as such ~ the married mans tax allowance was (I believe) abolished and replaced with the tax credit for couples with children ~ married parents or not, and is paid to the mother.

What benefits do you mean?

Is this something to do with the rights of next of kin when someone dies ?
