if you put your house on the market with 2 or more different estate agents, when you sell you house do you have to pay all agents a commission or just the one that sold you house?

it depends on the contract you have with the respective agents - you are free to negociate this but generally they will ask for the commission anyway, thats why not many people use multiple agents.

good luck with the sale of your house
We considered using two agents and were advised by them that we would only pay the one that sold the house, but the interest rate was higher on the basis that it was with 2 agents, so it would cost more whichever sold it.
when i sold mine, about 2 years ago, you were free to have as many agents as you liked, however, you had to pay them a higher percentage of commission for multiple agencies (ie 1% of the sale price if you just used them, but 2.5% if you went with more than 1 agency)
