Has anyoe heard of Swiss Lotto. I have been informed that I have won a large sum of money which I don't believe but will investigate carefully without disclosures and report to authority if necessary.

There is a Swiss Lotto but there is also a bunch of people scamming off it. Does this look familar? -

I work within a Trading Standards environment and even without seeing the letter I can 95% say that it will be a scam. There are all sorts of variations along the same theme and they change regularly.

Either report it to your local Consumer Direct/Trading Standards or send to Scambusters at OFT.

Swiss Lotto. I know it is a scam but wondered if anyone else has had similar. I have traced it as far as a so-called UK agent with a box numbet in Liverpool withoug compromising my computer so will report it. Thanks for the quick answers
If you didn't enter it's a scam.

The PO Box in Liverpool probably does not exist.

If you contact them by e-mail or an 070 phone number they will ask for money to process your 'winnings'. If you pay they will take the money and subsequently ignore you.

Swiss Lotto. Thank you for all your answers and no further information is required. I do not communicate with SPAM and nor does my computer but I had never heard of this particular scam which uses the official Swiss site as part of it's machinations so I collected enough information to notify the authority. I doubt that anything will be discovered but it is always worth a try. Thanks.
Just a thought. Most of these financial services scams (that try and puruade you to input security details to 'unlock' your account) set-up a website that looks indential to the official site. It could yet another one of those.
The simple answer is, if you've not purchased a ticket for the Swiss Lotto then you can't possibly win anything. Full stop.
