Why on earth would you do this? Surely your house contents just get soaked and/or blown all over the place.
Hi Eejit - My Question back to you is WHY?

Is it a traditional thing to do in your part of the country?

Love to know the reason why you do it. Nothing to do with your AB name - I hope ..lol

I find it lovely to sit in my living room with the windows wide open (old sash windows) and watch the rain. You can't beat the smell of fresh air after days of baking sun. It's like the smell of freshly cut grass. Does that make more sense???
Gotcha - yes I'll often go outside and smell the freshness of summer rain on the ground - but a storm, well then it's inside and batten down the hatches!
Does all your monet blow out of the house when you do this then?
My Dad reckons that if there is a thunderstorm and your house has a chimmney that you should always open a window in the same room where your fireplace is. Cos then if lightening comes down the chimmney it won't cause too much damage and will go back out the window :)
