hi, several years ago I purchased a property using my first name and my mothers maiden name, this is legal and all above board(at the time)
I now want to sell the property (650K) and have the title deeds, but nothing else in the name that i bought it in, is there any way of getting around this legally?

get your solicitor to testify as to your identity.
Deeds have been done away with and it is the name on the computerised Register at the Land Registry which counts now. If there is no mortgage then it is fairly straightforward to change the name to that which you sre known by now. Phone your local District Land Registry Officeand they will guide you through the process. If there is a mortgage it will all have to be done through your lender, so contact them.
