whilst de-cluttering the house recently we came across an old n.s. certificate bought in 1947 can anyone tell me if this will be worth anything now? thanks for any replies

Yes it will be worth its face value plus interest to the date it is cashed.

This assumes it hasn't been reported lost and already cashed.
