Mobile credit card transactions

We want to be able to accept credit cards - we are a small gift company that does lots of exhibitions and markets. However the major banks want major fees for giving us a mobile terminal. Can anyone recommend a company that provides this type of service. Thanks in advance.

Have you considered an online payment option? This is not to say that your customers can pay online but to process your card payments using a PC? This might work out cheaper but there would be no CHIP and PIN service that you can offer. Some companies that do this are...paypal, CC Bill and the likes. Just google for the term CARD PROCESSING and this should get you started on this track..
