If you mean �3500 + VAT - the VAT is �612.50

If you mean �3500 including VAT - the VAT is �521.28

Thanks very much, oneeyedvic, for your answer. Not very good at percentages (thick!!). Thought it was about this amount (plus VAT) but wanted someone else's confirmation. Good of you, thanks.

I used to divide figure by 47, and then multiply answer by 7. to find out how much vat was included in figure.
