why do filling stations persist in always showing something .9.
after all these years surely no one is fooled and it looks stupid .
no other country i have visited does this.
is there another reason?

I know what you mean it is stupid but 85.9 looks cheaper than 86.0

It will be interesting to see what happens when prices go beyond the �1/litre. It would be an ideal time to stop this practice as it would appear ludicrous.
