Does anyone know any companies likely to take on a mortgage adviser and give experience. My son has just passed Cemap 1.2 and 3 and excellent sales record but no experience of selling mortgages. He wants to work in London. What is the best way forward?
thank you

If he has an excellent sale record, then really this is a bit of a silly question - he should sell himself in the same way that he would sell a product or service.

There are very few companies (in my experience) that would turn down an excellent sale person - a sale person should be more than covering their cost, so if he does have a proven track record, its a no brainer.
From experience I'd steer clear of Estate Agents - they want blood. Working for a big lender will get your son experience of the market but only one sector of it (however if it's someone like HBoS then it's a pretty big sector.)

If he's looking for a future as a whole of market broker then an existing mortgage brokers will be a good place to start. Look at Cavendish, ALexander Hall, Chase De Vere, Cobalt Capital, Hamptons and Savills. They all regularly recruit in London.
CeMap is the qualification mortgage brokers need to sell mortgages, so what job he has he been doing if not already selling mortgages? Use Google to find a recruitment agency in London that deals with the hiring of mortgage brokers. With CEMAP 1,2,3 he shouldnt have much trouble finding a job there's plenty out there in this field.
