About 10 months ago I signed up with an ISP for broadband - the service didn't work and they failed to keep two appointments to look at the problem so I cancelled - the whole process took nearly three months - they wanted me to pay the two months due for their service but as I never actually received any service I argued with them - they threatened to sell my debt to a company for recovery but I continued to argue my case and threatened to counter-sue for lost days off work when the engineers never appeared, the payment for the two months due and the general stress that they had caused me (I quoted the sale of goods act, distance selling regs etc) and they eventually backed down - I am worried in case they have now noted anything against me in my credit ratings - how do I find this out? I am aware that I can get a copy of my credit records/file/score (?) but a search on Google throws up many, many companies - Can anyone recommend a reputable firm and approx cost of obtaing the info? Any help much appreciated...
Each of these can only charge you a maximum of around 2.00 (they can charge you extra handling fee for credit / debit card payments etc) for a copy of your report.
They also all offer various other bits etc for around 10.00 but just get a basic one for 2.
