i have got a letter from a balliff last night regarding a liability order for council tax. i know i know.. i should have paid it but been struggling..

Anyway there is no way i can afford to pay it all in one sum and do not have a credit card so i am going to have to let them in. have no choice unless they accept a payment plan which well is so unlikely.

So what can they take and what do they have to leave?

i am self emp and have a car and computer for work. i understand they cannot take them. Is it right that they can leave you with one chair, a bed and a cooker? i dont have much that they can take really.

thanks

from me in a muddle !

We cross posted.
Still worth asking CAB for advice though.
