I didnt get the accounts, so i cant speak for them, but on mine i had"company register information - name, adress of company, company number etc
then it listed the directors and their addresses, and their d.o.b.then their recent filing history (ie when the last accounts were registered so no "sharehlders" on there but difinately the directors

I believe that it is illegal to show all the shareholders of a UK Ltd or PLC Company now since the Data Protection Act came into force. In some countries it is the other way around and shareholders must be listed. You can obtain everything that bednobs said but remember that Directors may not be shareholders but may make Directors loans which should be shown on a full set of accounts. If you are using this service to ascertain whether a company is viable or not it is easy to check Directors out using 192.com and credit agencies.
Thanks for your quick responses.
I've sent off forms to take over as director for an already established Ltd. business and I am trying to find out whether I'm actually 'recognised' as director now. My accountant took care of it all really and has told me that everything's in place, but I would like to see something in writing for when I talk to the bank about taking over as signatory.
Thanks once again.

The shareholders of a company are listed in the Annual Returns (form 363) [so long as the share capital has been paid up] and is public information.
The annual returns contains the following information:
* the name of the company;
* its registered number;
* the type of company it is, for example, private or public;
* the registered office address of the company;
* the address where certain company registers are kept if not at the registered office;
* the principal business activities of the company (see Principal Business Activities);
* the name and address of the company secretary;
* the name, usual residential address, date of birth, nationality and business occupation of all the company's directors;
* the date to which the annual return is made-up (the made-up date).
And if the company has share capital, the annual return must also contain:
* the nominal value of total issued share capital;
* the names and addresses of shareholders and the number and type of shares they hold or transfer from other shareholders.
