It depends on the hourly rate of pay!

You are allowed to earn �5,225 each year before you pay income tax - exactly the same as if you were 20, 40 or 55.

Your tax level doesn't increase until you are 65.

That's �100.48 per week.

Oh, and if you are a 60 year old woman in receipt of pension - that has to be taken into account as well.

So if your pension is �80 per week, say, you can earn �20.48 before paying tax.
and your state pension (assuming you are female and claim it) counts towards that �5225
Women who claim retirement pension at 60 o not pay NI contributions anymore

I think it applies to men at 65
