I have always found my local Land Registry to be extremely helpful.

Telephone them for advice - I am sure you will be able to do this yourself.

A fee will be involved.

I do apologise for not being clearer in my first answer

I meant that you should be able to do this without using a solicitor.

:)
I am sorry to hear of the death of your wife.

Land transfers, as fhe forms say, are designed to create rights and duties and I would not dream of trying to convey something myself

A licensed conveyancer [whom Ihave always found ot be top-notch] can do this for you for a fee of course.....

BUT why do you want to transfer title?

If you want to sell, then it can all be done at once - when we sold my late mother's house, we found title was still in my late father's name, 1962 and no-one turned a hair.
Ethel's answer is correct. You can easily DIY at your local Land Registry - a couple of forms and a small fee is all that is involved - you don't need conveyancers or solicitors. But as you were tenants in common you will have to produce evidence to show that your wife left her share to you.
