Contract cooling off period?
4 Answers
I am self employed and recently took on an additional project, working for someone else but in self employed capacity.
I signed a contract that stipulated I must repay start-up costs if I stop the project in the first 3 months. I have yet to start the work but I'm not happy with the way in which the scheme works and I need to get out of it.
Is it standard that any contrct has a cooling off period? If so, how long is this? If not, can I be expected to pay these fees ?
Many thanks in advance,
J

i know I shouldn't have signed but felt a bit pressured and didn't expect to have to walk away within the first 3 months but due to certain aspects not being clearly outlined prior to signing I'm a little unhappy with it now.
