Usually drawing cash on a credit card amounts to a loan and you will be charged interest as well as a cash handling fee from the credit card company. If you draw out cash with a debit card it is usually from your own account and does not attract charges unless the machine charges you. There are plenty of machines that don't, just try a few.
Aussie - using a debit card overseas DOES attract charges of at least 2.75% on the exchange rate and sometimes an additional fee as well - levied by your bank, not the ATM owner. If he does charge (rare if it's at a bank) you pay that as well.
Nationwide AFAIK is unique in not levying these charges
