If you take a loan from your company to buy a season ticket, can the repayments from salary be made before tax and NI deductions or do they have to be taken afterwards?

Afterwards, it has to come from your net income.
The benefit to you is usually that it's interest free, and a yarly ticket usually saves you a few quid each month.
