Take your cheque along and they'll bend over backwards to help you. Most savings accounts don't rely on credit scores anyway.

Banks can be very fussy whose money they are prepared to look after, particularly if you have a bad credit rating. I would be prepared to act as a third party and to open an account in my name, where you could deposit your winnings. To facilitate this arrangement, I would charge a small fee, say 10%.

Please let me know if this suits you, and I will set things up. The Cayman Islands National bank have an offer on at the moment, and all new accounts opened recieve a free gift. Either a paper shredding machine, or a digital toilet roll holder. Let me know which you prefer.

You can open many savings accounts without any or a poor credit rating.

you may be asked where the money came from because the banks have to consider that it could a case of money laundering. If it is the lottery you can show where it came from; if it's from another source you may be asked questions
