Bank address

I am trying to find out the name and address of the following bank: sort code 09-01-26. I know now that it is an Abbey National bank, but I need to know the address of the particular branch. I know for sure that a complete sort code designates a certain branch Can you help?

In the case of Abbey (and a few other banks - eg Nationwide) branches do NOT have their own sort code. One central sort code is used for all accounts of a particular type.
If you look at ANY Abbey cheque you will see a PO Box in London as the address

The sort code covers all Abbey branches - I have 3 accounts with Abbey, opened at different branches in England & Scotland and the all have the same sort code. The Abbey is now using sort code 090127 (I suppose they ran out of numbers under 090126??).
If you are filling out a mandate either put down the address of the branch you are with or the London Address, as shown on the Cheque Books.;-
p.o. box 382, prescot street, london e1 8rp
You will find that most companies will accept either.
p.s. the Halifax & Coop also have 'centralised banking'
