I have a HSBC simple acount for people withnbad credit history.I was bankrupt four years ago>I went to the HSBC for a loan and they declined me.It seems there is a prejudice against me having an ordinary acount or receiving loans with most banks for six years.THis is unfair it was not my fault. The lady ing the bank says the only bank who may except me is the alience and leicster. Is that right can they help?do they have different rules for current acounts and loans and past bankrupts.

Why wasn't it your fault? You obviously didn't pay someone you should have else you wouldn't have been made bankrupt. You've been made bankrupt in the past and therefore Banks see you as a risk.

Some Banks are more lenient towards people such as yourself, you will have to phone them up and ask.
The fact of your bankruptcy will remain on your credit record for 6 years from the date you were made bankrupt. Anyone you apply to for credit such as a loan or store card or credit card will do a credit check and, in most cases, they will turn you down because of the bankruptcy. This is just a fact of life you have to accept as one of the disadvantages of bankruptcy.
