Which Bank

i have the maximum amount of savings thats safe with First Direct. Not sure which other banks are in the same group but need an alternative to use now?

First Direct is owned by HSBC. Which is why you never see in their advertising them comparing themselves with any HSBC products. Still a good bank though.

But i would guess there are other banks within this group - do you know which they are please?

Have a look here, at least it will tell you who owns which bank so you know where not to put your money over the protected limit
