CSA waste of time
6 Answers
wonder if anyone can help me about a claim my partner made against her ex over 5 years ago now. She has been passed from pillor to post and back again and still hasn`t receive a penny from him. Whenever she contacts the csa she`s told it`s been past onto somebody else or its still under review. She`s made 3 official complaints npw but still no joy. Is it worth getting a solicitor/ ocal MP involved or are the csa untouchable.

The most annoying thing is her ex partner has a successful buisness (regardless whether he had or not) the fact of the matter is he`s got away without paying a penny to his kids for the last 5 years. Thats probably why his business is boomin. (i`d beeter get down from my soapbox) Thanks anyway
There is so much inconsistency with the CSA. People I know who use them just dont seem to have any problems. I used to work in a large salary dept and there were many deductions for CSA and they seemed so prompt applying the stoppage!
Personally i would go to a solicitor or maybe contact the CAB who might put some pressure on for you.
I have never heard of a claim taking 5 years, are you sure there isnt something a little more complicated with the case that is causing the problem? Is your sister claiming any benefits because in my experience these are normally fast tracked so the govt dont have to pay all the claim!
I am having the same problem, i have waited 2 years now and i contact them every fortnight just to be told my case is either being dealt with by someone else or they are dealing with my claim. Sometimes they tell me there next step and 6 months down the line they tell me the same thing again. I thought the CSA were there to help you. I work full time and don't have much money bringing up children on my own and i recieve no benifits. would a MP or solicitor help??
