How about the performer (a Frenchman naturally) who used to be on stage farting various tunes. Can`t remember his name but he was famous at the time - don`t know if he became rich or if he just enjoyed the noteriety.

TO ADD: His name was Joseph Pujol but he went under the stage name of Le Petomane (French for fartistry!). He appeared at Moulin Rouge in Paris and indeed did make a lot of money.
