bankrupcy - passport ?

i am unfortunately having to make myself bankrupt soon. A holiday was booked and payed for 7 months ago for holiday in 2009, would i still be able to go on this holiday ? or do your passport taken away ?? thanks

It is just possible that, if the holiday is an expensive one and you paid for it when you knew you were in serious financial difficulty (i.e. insolvent), that you might be questioned about why you spent the money on it. If money could be recovered by cancelling the holiday the Official Receiver might think that should be done, with the money going to your creditors. This is all pretty unlikely, it depends on the facts of your particular case, & you will only find out for certain after you have gone bankrupt.
