Any protection afforded to debit card transactions will be dependent on the card provider (Visa, Maestro etc.) e.g. Visa require banks offering their debit cards (any debit card with the Visa symbol) to offer chargeback facilities to a customer who finds goods are not supplied or to the standard promised provided the transaction falls within the scope of their rules.
