Hi there

I have an account with Lloyds TSB, and i wish to close this account.

Can i ask, what details do they keep about you, after you have closed the account?

I have had so many mailings from them in the past 4 months, it is unreal.

Do they keep your name, address, etc... on record or when i close the account, will they delete everything including my personal details?

I'm fed up with all these letters and such from them, offering me everything from a home loan to credit cards.

They will keep all your details on file for a certain number of years.

Just tell that that you want no marketing literature sending, I'm sure there is something they can put against your account to stop it, NatWest certainly can!
Why don't you 'go green' instead of closing your account? I have at HSBC so I don't receive any paperwork any more. I don't know if your bank does this but they should. As for what information they keep if you do close the account I'm not sure.
