i am 40 next year and i have 2 small frozen personal pensions they are frozen because i have a very good works pension and could'nt afford to pay into them all. i would like to release the frozen pensions as when i retire they will be worth very little. i do not wont to put them into my company pension I want the benefit of them now. any advice as to how to go about this?

You cannot release money from a pension until you reach age 50, from 2010 this increases to age 55.
As mentioned, you have to be 50 at the very least. For more info on this sort of thing, it's best to contact an IFA such as Grove FP - http://www.grove-pension-release.co.uk - as they are regulated by the Financial Ombudsman and HAVE to give you an impartial review of your situation.
