Living with partner for 6 months she never worked but name is on the morage now 7 years later shes making a claim on the house where do I stand

If her name was never on the mortgage I doubt she will have a claim unless she's got substantial documentary evidence that she paid a large part of it off (which obviously she won't have). Or evidence that she lived there a long time, which again she won't have. I think any judge would look suspiciously on a claim made after all this time by someone who didn't contribute at all.
I think before anyone else contributes on this, shane, it might be helpful if you said whether you live in the US or UK (or elsewhere).
As you say your partner doesn't work, but her name 'is' on the mortgage, I would have thought she could still have some kind of claim later, if indeed you did ever part. However, if you are concerned that this may happen, perhaps you could have a one off consultation with a solicitor to put your mind at rest either way. Good luck.
