Do you think in the current encomic climate is a bad time to start/buy a business or do you think it's wise to wait a little longer until the dust settles. Am I right in thinking if I was to buy a business now I will be in a better position to negotiate the price? I know it depends alot on the which sector of business I'm going to go in.
Very much depends on the business and whether you need to make an instant return on it.
If for example you have cash to purchase a business and you didn't need to worry about that capital being invested in there for 5+ years then as you say buying now might be a decent time to get a good deal (I'd say another year or so we will be in a far worse state).
However if you were borrowing to fund it I'd stay clear.
Really depends on what it was, but equally your not going to get much of a deal on a business which is successful.
If you have a steady reasonably secure job you would be completely MAD to go into self employment now unless it was a printing money business!!! Dont listen to the BS the government feed you, things are going to get a lot worse before they get better. Sit tight for now.
It also depends on your interest and where you plan to invest. For real estate intraday cash or equity market , the time is mostly alright.I have trading forex through my broker AVA FX for close to four years now, with consistent profits.
You'd need to gather as much information before investing anywhere. The markets are very volatile and extremely unpredictable-as a novice there's no good place to cut teeth.
Experience shall help you better your business.
You have really answered your own question.I am focusing on consolidating my investments as of now.Securing my savings and investment is my top concern, irrespective of my reputation.I have some stocks and a handful of govt bonds.I also trade forex thro avafx.
I think its best to diversify the investments.Risk is evident everywhere.
