I've recently got married and we had our Wedding List with The Gift Registry in London which has now gone into administration. This company allowed us to shop at a number of stores to get all our gifts which were then placed in the internet for our guests to buy. They chose the gift and paid online to the gift registry for them to buy and deliver to us. Now they have gone into administration they have stated that everyone who paid with a credit card can claim thier money back but what about those people who used a Visa or Switch Debit card?? Do they have any way to claim thier money back?? Please help??
unfortunately, you do not have the same rights with a debit card as you have with a credit card.
they will need to get in touch with The Receiver of the business and place their claim (and probably join the queue of debtors).
I have just found out that I have a similar problem with an on-line electical supplier.
Have just searched and found an article on BBC Working Lunch about refunds on Debit cards it's called "chargeback" it may work it may not but could be worth a try.
