benefits for working part time

can anyone help me with what benefits i might be due if i went back to work part time? Thanks

it depends on how many hours..if it's over 16 you can't get Income Support, but you may get Working Families Tax Credits on top of Child Tax Credits, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Benefit, help with school dinners/prescriptions, etc.

also, if you're on Income Support now you may qualify with extra help when you return to work.. but the Job Centre would be the best to advise on that.

btw, the Job Centre can also do a Better off In Work calculation for you, to see how your finances would be in the job you may be looking at.

thanks. i have a full time job and have done for 15 years. i'm currently on mat leave i was thinking of going back part time. My dad has also just died so i feel if i went back full time straight away i would be losing my daughter as i have been with her every day since she was born as well as my dad.
